New Orient by JonathanDanker

Always had the impression of Hong Kong skyline being filled with Junks sailing busily but in reality there is only one junk there named the Aqua Luna and much of the harbour is filled with barges and other vessels.. nevertheless one is best than none. Getting the shot really relied heavily on my camera high iso capability as I pushed it quite far by shooting at iso 6400 just to get a shutter speed high enough that it did not display motion blur. I aided it by shooting at an aperture of f2.8 too. The cityscape was shot a few minutes later when the waters was less busy at lower iso to maintain high quality overall. Definitely one of my favourites to capture and distract my mind from the numbing cold winds as we waited for the lightshow to begin. Camera Info: Canon 5d Mk 3 | Canon 24-70 f2.8L Mk1 | ISO 100 | f 6.3 | focal length 59mm (4 exposure digital blend, plus one high iso exposure for the junk at iso 6400, f2.8, shutter 1/160s) -- © Jonathan Danker My images are posted here for your enjoyment only.
