Lake of tears by tinobeyer

The "Völkerschlachtdenkmal" (Monument to the Battle of the Nations) commemorates Napoleon's defeat at Leipzig in the Battle of the Nations between 16 and 19 October 1813. The monument itself is 91m tall and contains over 500 steps to a viewing platform at the top. Right in front of the monument is the "Lake of Tears of the fallen Soldiers" which perfectly reflects the scenery in this case. The blue hour shot is merged of two different exposures (60 sec base exposure for the scene and 30 sec for the bright areas) and was blended in Photoshop via colore range. I furthermore boosted the contrast and set a high pass filter for the center area of the image.
