Nyhavn Copenhagen by manuel0288

Taken in Copenhagen, Denmark during the Easter weekend 2014. Nyhavn (literally: New Harbour) is a 17th-century waterfront, canal and entertainment district in Copenhagen, Denmark. Stretching from Kongens Nytorv to the harbour front just south of the Royal Playhouse, it is lined by brightly coloured 17th and early 18th century townhouses and bars, cafes and restaurants. Serving as a "heritage harbour", the canal has many historical wooden ships. (Source: Wikipedia) via 500px http://j.mp/1iHdSsT

Medina by fisherman

Each one of the 20 metre tall sunshades covers an area of more than 600 square metres and offers up to 800 pilgrims protection from the sun and heat, which can get up to 50° C in the summer in Saudi Arabia. The number of pilgrims increases every year and the 250 sunshades providing a shaded area of 156,000 m² now mean that the square can be used as an additional space for prayer. Scene from Dubrovnik - Panorama by markbenedyczak

My self-preservation instinct is telling me that it is time to escape from the winter ... so in the next few days I will be posting pictures taken in Dubrovnik. I'm starting with a panoramic image which I like because it is more focus on a human activities than on rather well known city features. via 500px http://j.mp/1l6tG8p
