La masia de Can Valent o Can Pere Valent, data del siglo XVII Es una de las pocas masias andreuenques que aun quedan hoy, aunque en muy mal estado de conservacion. Es un edificio de planta basilical asimetrica, con el ala izquierdo mayor que el de la derecha. El parametro de mesoneria ha perdido el estruco y las aberturas, tienen jambas de piedra y dinteles arqueadas de ladrillo a sardinel, mientras que el acceso principal es un arco de medio punto adovelado. Es una construccion bastante pobre y con una conservacion muy deficiente. Esta masia era ubicada en el camino viejo de Santa Eulalia de Vilapiscina. Los Costa fueron propietarios hasta los años 50. Eran agricultores y sus tierras estaban cultivadas, principalmente por viñedos. Despues la familia Costa vende la masia y los terrenos a su agricultor, en Padron, que era jardinero de profesion. Hacia el año 1968-1969, muere el Padron y su mujer vende los terrenos a la empresa construtora Sala y Amat. Su mal estado de conservacion a hecho que su derribo estuviera a punto de producirse, pero afortunadamente, no se ha llevado nunca a la practica. A finales de los años 80 del siglo pasado la empresa abandona los terrenos y el edificio. Luego ya en el siglo XXI se propuso destinar los terrenos al tanatorio, ya que junto a la masia se encuentra el cementerio de Sant Andreu, pero la fuerte oposicion vecinal el Ayuntamiento de Barcelona abandona la idea. A pesar de estar catalogada dentro del Catalogo del Patrimonio Arquitectonico Historico-artistico de la Ciudad de Barcelona ( con categoria B ) su estado es deplorable. En el interior de la masia cuenta con un embaldosado del siglo XVIII tambien cuenta con muebles antiguos y conserva un lagar de vino, para prensar las uvas, algunos postigos se mantienen intactos. No se el futuro que deparara la Masia, pero seria una verdadera lastima, que por un puñado de tierra,( para intereses economicos) olvidaramos para siempre, una Joya !!!!
