http://j.mp/1fPy6C7 ^^^ coming soon: learn how to predict conditions like this! Hey, it's my 100th upload to 500px! To be completely honest, I can't explain this one. I can think of so many reasons why this composition shouldn't work, but after sifting through 10 different comps from this evening, this one remained by far my favorite. FYI, this is just a single 13" exposure with some tweaking in Lightroom. I was able to completely isolate the bridge with some insane luck, as the fog was below deck level on the bridge and much higher beyond it, which covered up the otherwise distracting city lights in the background. Ironically, the fog rose and then disappeared half an hour before sunset. I packed up my gear to leave, but right as I started the hike back to the car, the fog began to roll in again. It's incredible, just how dynamic this scene is, and if you complain of being "tired" of seeing images of this bridge, I urge you to come and experience a low fog event for yourself -- you will understand. I love where I live. via 500px http://j.mp/1Hbg4EC
