Laurel Cottage, a thatched cottage in Porlock Village, is believed to be 18th century or earlier in origin. It is set back from the street behind Doverhay car park and opposite what used to be the old smithy (I spent hours watching horses being shod .. I learnt quite a few new words from the farrier as well!!!) It is quite difficult to get a shot of the house because of its location, this was the nearest I could get. I particularly like this picture because of the bird (sunlight) on the gate, I think it was there specially for me on that day ... via 500px http://j.mp/1uVUhrS
