a tibetan village by zhangning

shot in a tibetan village called Baihanluo. the village is hidden in deep mountains. this catholic church was built first in 1898 by french missionary Annet Genestier. several years later it was burned by local Lhamas and rebuilt again. in past 100 years this church destroyed and rebuilt again and again. today the village still cannot be reached by modern vehicles. everything is carried up to the village by horse team or human shoulders. i walked two and half hours to get up there. the best architecture in the village is this church.
