The Twisted Building by JasonMatias

I had the opportunity to make a return trip to Dubai in July. I also had the opportunity to meet Daniel Cheong (http://j.mp/1yaxVEh) while I was there and he shared with me a little bit of the ins and outs of shooting in Dubai. And he pointed me in the right direction for this shot! He’s the authority on the shiny city, be sure to check out his work! This image of the twisted building at Dubai Marina is a 3 image stitch and a photo manipulation. Three vertical shots at 24mm with my Canon 5DII and Tamaron lens edited for exposure in Camera Raw and manually stitched in Photoshop where I removed construction distractions and edited luminosity throughout the image. I then exaggerated the size of the twisted building so that it occupies the same weight in the image as it does in person as was my intent when capturing it. see the before and after here: http://j.mp/1shPlR7 Private photoshop lessons and instruction available year round via Skype and Google Chat at $45/hr. Contact me jason@JasonMatias.com for scheduling via 500px http://j.mp/1yaxU3f
