Grand Staircase | St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel by babulbhatt

This luxurious staircase in St. Pancras hotel is a fantastic example of high-Victorian, gothic decoration. The balustrading, in wrought iron, contains original gas fittings and snakes three stories up to a vaulted ceiling. Scott became known as the most eminent ecclesiastical architect. Sir Gilbert Scott took the fascinating railway architecture to a glorious conclusion, a stairway that spirals heavenward. Everything from the carpet to the gold-on-maroon fleur-de-lis wallpaper has been fully restored. via 500px http://j.mp/1vkOzFi
