I took this picture in 2010 at the heart of the mating period. This fox was sleeping in an opened field and I decided to try to approach him carefully. It took me about 45 minutes to get close to him. I stopped and just started watching him. His breathing was kind of hypnotic while I could see its thoracic cage going up and down.
