The day was very overcast, essentially blanket white cloud in all directions. Ordinarily I wouldn't shoot in those conditions - I tend to prefer blue skies with white clouds streaking across the side - but i'm glad I did, certainly provides a more subtle effect that a 'traditional' Long Exposure.
