The Rocca Sforzesca of Imola (Italy) by marcgc

This beautiful castle was constructed around the fourteenth century in the city of Imola, province of Bologna, in the Emilia-Romagna region of north-central Italy. In the beginning of the 20th century the castle played the role of a prison used to keep the Nazi criminals. Howerver, the fortress was restored about 50 years ago and today the building is fully turned into a museum complex, it’s alsio used as an open-air theater where many important art exhibitions and musical performances have featured over the years, and finally, the International Piano Academy "Incontri col Maestro" has the Head Office on the castle since 1989. via 500px http://j.mp/1lLrcdw
