Golden Rococo by RolfNachbar

On Friday evening during my way back from Lake Constance I passed Schloß Solitude in Stuttgart. After a two hours drive I made a relaxing photo break and captured this rococo-style jewel with a very low sun. The palace was build in between 1763-1769 on a hill near Stuttgart as one of the last of the rococo period (late baroque) as a place for hunting. Because of the outgoing period of the rococo the interior is more influenced by the upcoming period of neo-classical. Still the outside is dominated by the typical monumental stairs going up to the first floor where the earl was watching the arriving guests. This palace lasted over the some centuries…the clouds didn't as you can see here with an exposure time of two minutes > Nature is always dynamic, architecture stays in static:-) Hope you enjoy this game of colors:-) via 500px http://j.mp/1p96WGm
