Ground Control to Major Tom by DaniloFaria

Major Tom is an astronaut referenced in David Bowie's songs "Space Oddity", "Ashes to Ashes", and "Hallo Spaceboy" (particularly in the remix by the Pet Shop Boys)... The Atlanta Marriott Marquis is a 52-story, 168.86 m (554.0 ft) Marriott hotel in Atlanta, Georgia. One of the defining features of the Marriott Marquis is its large atrium. It was the largest in the world upon its completion in 1985, at 470 feet (143 m) high. The atrium spans the entire height of the building and consists of two vertical chambers divided by elevator shafts and bridges. The record was later broken by the Burj Al-Arab in Dubai. For The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2, some scenes of the Capitol were filmed here. I truly thought I was in a "Star Trek" and some kind of science fiction movie when I photographed it. Thank you very much for stopping by! via 500px http://j.mp/1r8lQ0S
