The Parish church of Mellieha Malta part two by StehouwerandRecio
The main church of Mellieha is the Parish Church and it is dedicated to the birth of Our Lady. The church was built betweek 1881 en 1898. The stones were cut from a nearby quarry and transported up to Mellieha by the local peasants, who worked for free to see their wish of having a new church come true. The church is the most important landmark of Mellieha and dominates the skyline of the city. via 500px http://j.mp/1nMppta
