Sunset in the historic city of Bruges, Belgium. Gear: Nikon D800, Nikkor 14-24mm f2.8, tripod. Processing: time and exposure blending from multiple frames. Color and contrast adjustments in Nik Color Efex 4. Though I don't like and never do/did fake reflections, in this case I decided to gently repair the real reflection of the sky. The water in the real reflection had too many ripples left by the last tourist boat, which came around 10 min before I shot this sky. So around 30% of the sky reflection in this shot is "fake". The reflection of the buildings is 100% real though, but taken from a later shot, when the water finally settled :). via 500px http://j.mp/11FMVAS
In my opinion, this is the best spot (see the map) to photograph the famous Pão de Açúcar (Sugar Loaf), one of the most iconic views of Rio de Janeiro and Brazil. It will be a great honor to work there as a volunteer on the next Olympic Games. Ps. Same spot, same equipment but different exposure (zoomed to 50mm) and adjustments. Above the valve hall is smoke from the factories, it is gone with the wind and illuminated by industry lamps and warning lights, just a little bit spooky and surreal, a reason to capture it. via 500px http://j.mp/1y547fT
As the Christmas markets start in Germany right now, many streets and houses are nicely decorated as well. I discovered this nice decoration in the German village Monschau. via 500px http://j.mp/1w6Pw41
My hometown Siegen in November. I was to late there to take the photo. The sun was already over the hill. But hopefully you like the outcome via 500px http://j.mp/1yq2iZM
