Reflection / Kinkaku-ji by ZacharyV
Kinkaku-ji (金閣寺. "Temple of the Golden Pavilion"), officially named Rokuon-ji (鹿苑寺. "Deer Garden Temple"), is a Zen Buddhist temple in Kyoto, Japan. The garden complex is an excellent example of Muromachi period garden design. The Muromachi period is considered to be a classical age of Japanese garden design. The correlation between buildings and its settings were greatly emphasized during this period. It was a way to integrate the structure within the landscape in an artistic way. The garden designs were characterized by a reduction in scale, a more central purpose, and a distinct setting. A minimalistic approach was brought to the garden design, by recreating larger landscapes in a smaller scale around a structure. It is designated as a National Special Historic Site and a National Special Landscape, and it is one of 17 locations comprising the Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto World Heritage Site. It is also one of the most popular buildings in Japan, attracting a large number of visitors annually. via 500px http://j.mp/1kk47hf

Tulip Staircase, The Queens House, London, England - http://j.mp/1npm4lX Back the wonderful Tulip Staircase at the Queen's House in Greenwich. Such a wonderful and elegant staircase compared to many that I have visited. I could have looked at this staircase all day. I have uploaded this staircase before but I wanted to try it in B&W just to compare. The low key version I did just didn't do it for me so went for the high key look which I really like. Really brings out the details of the staircase and doesn't distract the viewers away from the finer parts of the image. Sorry I don't have much new stuff to upload at the moment. I am getting some new stuff here and there when I get a bit of free time but training for a new job and moving into a new house is taking up my time at the moment but I do have a list as long as my arm of places around the North Yorkshire coast I want to visit soon ;-). via 500px http://j.mp/1khIlLh

Reflection / PETRONAS Twin Towers by ZacharyV
Soaring to a height of 451.9 metres, the 88-storey twin structure is Kuala Lumpur's crown jewel. Majestic by day and dazzling at night, the PETRONAS Twin Towers is inspired by Tun Mahathir Mohamad's vision for Malaysia to be a global player. Together with master architect Cesar Pelli, the international icon powerfully captures the nation's ambitions and aspirations. Visit us and experience the PETRONAS Twin Towers first-hand. Begin your tour with interactive displays that showcase the journey, from idea to completion. Scale 170 metres in an elevator with a futuristic edge. The doors will open at the Skybridge, a connecting structure between the towers and the world's highest 2-storey bridge. Ascend even higher to level 86, where the story of Malaysia's vision unfolds amid breathtaking views of Kuala Lumpur. Then wrap up your visit with exquisite souvenirs at the gift shop. via 500px http://j.mp/1pLM1x1
